What if somehow Victor Zambrano did NOT suck this year?
It had pretty much written off the concept that he might be a contributor, leaning more towards thoughts of "how quickly can we get Heilmann into Zambrano's rotation spot when he starts killing us".
Spring training stats have to be taken with a huge grain of salt, but the very un-zambrano like figure of 2 walks in 11 innings and a spring training ERA of under 1 (0.82) is, at very least, encouraging. It has the eternal optimist in me thinking "how cool would it be if I didn't have to dread every 5th start this year".
Has Peterson finally done his "5-minute fix" on Victor, or is this just the consumate spring training tease?
