Mike Jacobs is going to be a monster for the Marlins.
Jacobs hit his first homerun for Florida last night and I have a really strong feeling there's more where that came from....lots more. He also has an absolutely beautiful swing and he can take a bad pitch deep as easily as a good one. He's gonna give NL pithcers fits this year.
I know you have to give up talent to get talent, but I was really bummed to see him go. The Marlins picked up a 30+ homer/100+ RBI guy in this young buck.

Jacobs Update #2 - Mike is hitting a respectable .273 with 21 HRs and 86 RBIs. the kicker though is that he has played nearly the entire season with a stress fracture in his right ankle.
