This game was excruciating. Like running full speed for an hour on the treadmill and getting punched in the stomach 30 seconds before you were done. All the air in your lungs - gone, sense of tremendous accomplishment-gone, replaced instead by a nauseous feeling in the pit of your stomach and the desire to curl into a fetal position.
I couldn't bear to think about hits game until we had put a ribbon and a bow on a victory in game three of the series. I still don't feel like reliving the 9th inning implosion by Billy Wagner. I will leave the recollecting to my friends:
- "I blame Randolph 100 percent. Never should started Wagner in 9th and then kept him 2 batters too long. Idiot!" ---Bruce
- I realize you're gonna hate me for this, but here are the reasons Willie Randolph was foolish for using Wagner in that spot.... - Will (See Wills space for the reasons)
The real crime was in wasting an incredible outing by Pedro, and keeping him form his 7th win without a loss. Pedro's Line for the day: - 8 innings, 4 hits, no runs, 8 strikeouts and only 1 walk.
That's all I feel like saying about this one. We lost. It sucked. It sucked REAL Bad.
