Here's some good insight into Jose Reyes from my friend Dave in Boston:

Here's something for your column on Jose Reyes in year 3 of his career.  In his 20-year career,

Rickey Henderson never had more than 33 doubles in a season.  Reyes is on pace to break it.

Rickey Henderson never had more than 7 triples in a season.  Reyes has surpassed that in less than half a season.

Rickey Henderson never had more than 74 Rbi's in a season, a season in which he did hit 28 Homeruns.  Reyes is on pace to knock in 74 Rbi's.

Reyes has a chance THIS YEAR for 15 homers, 20 Triples, 40 doubles, 70 rbi's, 80 sb's, and 120 runs.  That has to be some kind of record.  If he can get his batting average to .300, he'll also likely have 200 hits.
